I am now confident in making calls on my Smartphone, but when it "rings", I don't know how to answer it! I don't know if I have an "Android" or other type of phone, but it's a "Lively", just like the "Jitterbug". Hal.
I understand your frustration, @Hal Pollner. I hate mine for the same reason. The phones are made for people with slender, moist fingers. Mine doesn't work well either. If this one breaks or fails, I will probably go back to a flip phone if I can find one. The smartphone makes it a little easier to text and play solitaire, but more difficult to answer calls, which is the only thing I want it for. I know full well how to use it, and my wife has exactly the same phone. She can use hers quite well, but I am always getting the "Fat Fingers" popups.
I'm sticking with my 3G flip phone as long as long as it continues to send and receive calls. When they say that a 3G phone won't work anymore, I'm gambling that it won't be able to use whatever is new with 5G but maybe the basic phone calling part will work which is all I want anyway. If not, only then will I upgrade.
I have the same problem. If I can get the phone out of my pocket without hitting the red spot, the green spot doesn't work, about half the time. Forget to spit on my finger first.
That was why I changed in the first place, @Ed Wilson. I kept getting messages that my phone would stop working. I don't know if that is true or a scam to sell more phones, as most of the 911 system is 2G and it is still supported. I was a sucker, I guess.
When my phone "sounds", it's just a flat black slab laying there, with no buttons or lights of any color. This is supposed to be "smart"? Also, what is this 2g,3g, 5G stuff? Hal
