Well went to the doctors today and my pain in the arm is bursitis! I didn't realize that this could happen to me. I did not realize that it can happen at any age too! I was reading about some holistic cures for bursitis in my arm that began from trigger finger. Then one morning I awoke on my right arm and it hurt. It faded and came back until the ending of April till now the pain stayed, so today I went to see the doctor and my doctor said I got bursitis! Any good holistic cures for bursitis? I've been trying Salonpus it works okay, but I got to put it on daily. I was hoping for a cure not a remedy. I'm using Aspercreme now too and it's okay, but this is the first day so I got to see if it works to keep away bursitis in my right arm. Got any suggestions for a cure for bursitis?
Krissttina I am sorry to hear about your arm. I found a link. They recommend resting your arm (sling), and moist heat, and eating acid forming foods to remove calcium deposits. Here is a link.
Oh I thought Bursitis affected the feet - didn't realise If I find anything to help, will let you know .............
@Krissttina Isobe I have bursitis in my right shoulder. I told my doctor about it and he just said I had bursitis and didn't give me anything for it that was a couple of years ago. For the past few months the pain seems to come when rain is expected and right now it's been raining like crazy. I also have been diagnosed when carpel tunnel in my right arm and hand and tendonitis in my right elbow, . It doesn't help that I'm right handed. I did some research just this morning on bursitis and one helpful solution was a cold compression wrap which costs any where from $30 to over $100. I do wonder if this could be covered by insurance as a medical prescription. I started using tiger balm but when it is really painful I take ibuprofen which reduces the inflammation and alleviates the discomfort.
Me too aside from ibuprofen that is way too strong for me, doctor told me of 2 exercises and she says I can take the acetaminophen that I prefer and she'll see me at my regular appt. next month and if it doesn't get better she'll assign me a physical therapist. I bought some Aspercreme and it works well. I put just an ice cube in a paper to wipe my trigger fingers and where I can reach on my arm to ease the pain too. Salompas works good too and it's on sale 40% off now. I'll keep a watch on a sale for Aspercreme which works so well and quickly. Some foods cures like tumeric, papaya and green vegetables helps too. I pray a lot too and the book of The Directory of Saints by Annette Sandoval has a Holy Saint Amalburga a saint invoked against bruises so far is all I can find to help us...Christ help us and other Saints too, amen and thank you. Good luck and hope we all get cured!
I found a wonderful site for a cure for bursitis with many testimonies that ACV works to cure bursitis!!! http://www.earthclinic.com/cures/bursitis.html#acv I'm going to try ACV asap! Hope this helps and cures everyone! Thanks for the tips and the help!
YAY Krissttina - hope it works for you x I've put your link in my favourites - don't know what ACV is Will have some reading to do later
Joints need nutrition like glucosamine chondroitin [gelatin]MSM [sulfur] and hyaluronic acid also minerals . When your body get these it fixes the problem. Why does ACV is such a magical cure for many ailments is that it helps digestion. Giving body the ability to absorb the nutriments out of the food. As we get older our digestion is not that good and things like gluten intolerance make it even worse. Anything that helps the digestion system like things to increase acid in the stomach or enzymes in the small intestines or probiotics in the large intestines. All these things can bring back good health.
@Martin Alonzo Interesting post and something I thought of a few weeks back I now take probiotic tablets - made such a good difference
@Krissttina Isobe Hi - have you tried the Apple Cider vinegar yet ? We have started taking it putting a spoonful in a little water and drink down - hope it helps you x
Probiotics are definitely a good thing to help our digestive system work better. Naturally fermented foods are a great source of probiotics, so ACV, sauerkraut, and fermented milk products have a lot of probiotics. I have started adding more of these to my diet, and it is already seeming to help some of the arthritis pain. I also use the Braggs ACV, like @Joe Riley mentioned. It has the good enzymes from the fermenting process still in it, and it will look cloudy in the bottle with sediment at the bottom. This is called the "mother" (don't ask me why it has that name), and I shake mine before I add it to anything so that i get all of those good enzymes from the bottom of the bottle. I also make my own fresh kefir, which is a fermented milk product, and it has about the most varieties of probiotics of anything that you can add to your diet. I grind 2-3 Tbsp. of flax seeds and then blend in the kefir with a little fresh strawberries (or other fruit) and have that for breakfast in the mornings. This is a very healthy and filling breakfast, and has lots and lots of probiotics. We have a whole thread in here about the healh benefits of kefir, if anyone is interested in adding more natural probiotics in an easy way. Just do a search for Kefir, and it should come right up , in the health and wellness section.
