Way back when I was a young mother of toddlers with a husband who worked long hours. I was lonesome with only toddler conversation for company and I got into the habit of watching soap operas. Fortunately after awhile I realized that AsThe World Turns was really As The Stomach Turns and I quit watching them then.
Oh yeah. A lot of couples divorce for dumb reasons. They go through reconciliation counseling that changes nothing. If they saw the horrors ahead of them out there they might realize how much they are actually throwing away.
Just to end (?) this saga everyone is sick of by now... Long story short, 4 1/2 hour phone call. Then I received this link:
Yes one might think that. But now another shoe has dropped. Last post on this topic, it has long ago worn out its welcome.
I have a rant. It's about white letters on an orange background. Or a red background. The instructions are already in such small letters that you need a magnifying glass to read them. I wonder what genius thought it would be a good idea to make them white on a colored background?
Yes! That drives me crazy and if that isn’t enough the font is so tiny that you need the magnifying glass anyway.
I don't know if it's possible to be immune to TB, but 51 years ago, when I was 20, I fell through a window & cut my arm open. While I was in a very crowded ER waiting room, a guy sitting next to me in a wheelchair was coughing violently. I could feel the spray on my face but the room was packed & I couldn't move an inch. I thought, "He sure has a nasty cold; hope I don't get it." A couple of minutes later, a doctor stormed into the room, grabbed a nurse by the arm & practically dragged her out of the room & started yelling at her. I wanted to hear what he was saying, so I snuck up next to the partition & crouched down below the window so he couldn't see me. Here's what he said (I'll have to leave out the 4-letter words) "What the ---- is wrong with you, you stupid s---; how stupid can you be....you let a patient sit in a crowded waiting room when you know he has active TB?" I thought, "Oh well; I'm screwed." I had my arm, stitched up & went home. I guess I didn't get TB.....
I'm afraid I played dirty, using the nuclear option on her: An hour later, bawling and "she didn't mean it." I didn't think retirees pulled this kid crap. And yes, I'm ashamed of myself for playing the damned game. Paybacks are Hell.
