I was stunned when I just received this message trying to like Brucie's post in Yvonne's radio thread. What is going on when the program is questioning my clicking on the like tab?

I reread his post to see if it had some kind of questionable words or whatever. Finding none, I clicked yes, I want to like this post. I wonder if the program has sensed I have bad OCD and wants to give me that second chance before liking a certain post.

I thought we could always remove a like we gave if we later changed our mind. No biggie I am just curious about what gives in SOC these days. Maybe we cannot take back likes anymore. o_O

Maybe they SHOULD have that message. Don't want to rush into anything.

Not having seen such a thing, I am inclined to think it is the work of The Phantom Of Notre Forum.

Just so no one thinks I was imagining things, I launched a full-scale investigation.

    Here is what I saw.

    Here is the reason.

This happens when users click the Like control before the page has finished loading and the JavaScript has fully initialized.

There you go. I've never clicked the like control before the page has finished loading and the JavaScript has fully initialized. You should probably stop doing that, @Faye Fox. ;)

I wasn't aware that I did and the page appeared to be loaded and I fully read the post. I got this info from the XenForo forum and the only thing I can think of is there was a brief glitch in internet service. I also don't understand how you could see a post and the like button before the page is fully loaded. I think the "expert" that replied on the XenForo was full of it. When the post loads slowly the response buttons are the last thing to appear on my computer.

I still proclaim my innocence and think XenForo was messing with me.

I guess I'll have to add that to the rules.
    • Try not to be too offensive.
    • Try not to be too easily offended.
    • Play well with others.
    • Don't click the Like control before the page has finished loading and the JavaScript has fully initialized.

It stands for Florida Lounge which was an off-topic thread on some XenoForo forum where the screenshot was saved and used as an example.:D
