Have had two of them. One on right shoulder in 2007, due to a fall in ice/snow. The other, this past March due to a fall in the parking lot next to our apt.. Was fooling around when that happened. For the right shoulder, had to take 13 weeks off from work. Fortunately, for left shoulder, I'm retired. For the 2007 surgery, had to sleep in the upright position on a couch for a couple of months, but this time, have a recliner. I've got a release from PT and doctor/surgeon and going on week 23 of post-surgery. Doing good, but still get nighttime pain and sometimes have to leave bed and kick-back in the recliner in the middle of the night. Am also continuing with home exercises for the shoulder three times a week. Good ROM, but want to get rid of the pain and not need anymore pain med. One thing is, this time I'm a Diabetic II, which I wasn't in 2007. So, have you had this type of surgery and how was the outcome? Or, do you plan on having it. Or (yes, another "or" lol) is one recommended and you are in question about having it done?
