I was watching some Youtube.com videos on the location of Atlantis and some of those guys seem to have located it with Google Earth. If you do a search in Youtube for "Atlantis location" you'll see some of the versions by different people who seem to have found it. Their arguments are quite convincing. And one guy used an ancient map to place it on Google Earth. Check it out.
I thought I'd post the above referenced video so people can take a look for themselves. I'm usually pretty skeptical about this kind of thing, but it seems like he could be onto something. Thank you Google Earth.
I'm very torn when it comes to this subject. I'm not exactly sure what to believe. It might help if you remember that sea levels were once much lower than they are now during the Ice Ages. In fact, a huge city was recently found off the coast of India that was inundated during the sea level rise. I think it was even mentioned in the ancient Hindu scriptures and now they've found it exists. Even a great river mentioned in the Hindu scriptures was found as a dry river bed using satellite analysis. I tend to believe there were civilizations close to the equator during the Ice Ages that were much more advanced than we know. Also consider that the ancient Sumerian civilization seemingly popped up out of nowhere as an advanced civilization with writing and many of the usual professions that exist in advanced society.
I agree. There's just too many "strange" things out there to be discounted. It's one of those things that we'll probably never know for sure. I like to keep my options open though, and to always consider that there are things beyond my comprehension - it makes life so much more interesting to consider these things. And to wonder, what if ....
