Watching parts of a few games of the USFL I see the stands are nearly empty. That league won't last long if the attendance remains like this.
Not many people attend MLB games anymore either, but they get revenue from TV rights. They don't seem to care if anyone actually attends the games anymore as long as ESPN and the other sports networks are on board. Eventually it will all go to just online streaming. Perhaps the players will be virtual as well.
