I don't usually make a double post on more than one forum but this shocked me so much, I have posted this elsewhere...

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this. A couple of passers by filmed it...

A tiny toddler who was in a car where 2 shoplifters were arrested by armed police, got out and raised her little arms in surrender.

This has got to be one of the saddest things I have ever seen.. just heartbreaking! I honestly thought my heart was going to burst when I saw her.. I could have wept for her.

Poor little mite.. the police had their suspects under arrest , before they noticed the baby, and took care of her but it would just break your heart to think that she's living in a home where this may be something that she's witnessed even previously...

    See the video here.....

I think this is a case of misinterpretation. I have seen many kids hold their arms up just like that. It means, "Pick me up" , not, "I surrender." The fact that she is barefoot doesn't mean anything. It happened in Florida. I expect that the weather is warm enough to be barefoot.

I'm not so sure Shirley, I think a baby tend to put their arms up to be picked up when they're standing close to their parent, not walking along with their arms in the air... I really think that child was listening to the police shouting at the men to get their arms i the air, and obeyed or at the very least copied what was happening!!

If its as heart breaking as you say - I would avoid watching it, as I do on a daily basis
I don't want to watch anything that distresses me especially when there is not a thing I can do about it.

I would say it's extremely sad more than heartbreaking @Patsy Faye , probably more a ''heartbreaking'' sign of the times, in some places....
