All kidding aside, I felt great yesterday...the best I ever felt in a year. I should have felt like crap since I woke up at 2:30 a.m. But I wasn't even tired or sleepy all day. My spirits were high, my aches were gone.

I'm trying to figure it out ...maybe just a coincidence and I just happened to have a good day. I wish I was getting some blood drawn today too which is weird...hope there isn't some weird addiction like this.

Is there a medical reason I would feel good after losing a little blood?

This is a serious post...I want to have every day feel like I did yesterday.

@Chrissy Page Could it just be relief that it's all over. Sometimes after the dentist I feel like that. X

Yes, I did think of that. That would definitely be cause for my good mood. But I also had more energy etc.

Hope it was just a fluke cause I could become addicted to how good I felt. :)

It wasn't much blood...5 test tubes worth. Nurse said that's really not much cause I made a comment
About it and she said she's drawn 20 vials sometimes from one person. Poor person. :(

Goodness that was a few though @Chrissy Page. Glad you are feeling good though. It's a nice feeling. Perhaps that nurse was a draculess to draw 20 :)

Poor people that have that much drawn, means they are testing a lot of things....not a good sign I would think when
    That many are required.

I'm used to bloodwork but usually just every 6 months for thyroid and that alone is not a fasting one.

I think when you have glucose and cholesterol then you have to fast. I also always get complimented on my veins. I have very good ones. Every draw I've ever had was a cinch...first
Prick of the needle and the blood is flowing.

Ha ha, funny how things change as you get older, I used to get compliments on my legs and eyes
And now I'm happy about my veins. :)

I have felt that way after donating blood, which is a considerably larger amount than that which is drawn for a blood test. The feeling had nothing to do with feeling good about having contributed blood, but was a physical feeling of well being after having done so. Since your body quickly goes to work replenishing that which is lost, maybe there is something in the new blood that feels good.

Maybe. It's been quite a few years I've given blood so don't remember how I felt. I've also had bloodwork for thyroid for many many years now and never felt this good but that was maybe 2 vials at the most.

I think I should tell my dr though, knowing him...he won't say much. My favorite dr in the whole wide world left a few months ago and now I have HIM who isn't a favorite but the other choice was the new NP that came back and she actually made me cry so when I heard she was coming back, I quickly asked for my next appt to be with the owner
And top dr in the practice.

I'll stay this year but I may even be by my daughter next year, so everything will change.
