I asked for certain input, not about everything concerning dental that some may have/may not have had. Another thing, if you don't like the threads I post or my postings, why do you keep joining in?

And, FYI, everyone is telling me to go the "Root Canal and Crown" direction, in which that's what I'm going to do. So, in that case, you are absolutely wrong about your last sentence!

My appointment was for the 15th of this March, however, late yesterday afternoon, I noticed an abscess on the side of my gum next to a tooth that will have a root canal/crown. I can feel the bump there and this morning can see a pus spot in the middle. So, called the dentist this morning and will see him tomorrow morning. Whatever it takes, whether extraction or root canal/crown, I need it done and the abscess taken care of. Definitely can't wait until the 15th.

I'm using saltwater rinse and a cold pack for the area. Last night for supper, I had Instant Mashed Potatoes and some cottage cheese. Definitely have to eat soft food right now!

That's too bad Cody. A toothache is not pleasant. In my experience, they will not drill on a tooth until the abscess is cleared up. Might still make it by the 15th if they give you antibiotics tomorrow.

Well, ended up needing both teeth extracted. Both were that bad under the gum! Simply couldn't be saved. Dentist did put some "infection killing" liquid into the abscess. He told me the bottom of both teeth (bone area) was totally "mushy" and a root canal/crown definitely wouldn't work. I will return in 3 weeks for a full cleaning. Will also be getting a bottom denture of four teeth. Two for the two that were extracted on left side and two that were extracted back in the early 90's on the right side. Believe it or not, the teeth extracted today on the left side, are the same two that were extracted in the early 90's on the right side.

I could have gone thru major work and expense about 13 yrs ago and Did not...Back molar broke some and a dentist and his assistant wanted to do the Royal Job....but I did not. I was in my early 70's, as I'm 84 now....to be continued...

Oh the molar was next to a 2 unit bridge and all I c ould think was that it can be
damaged with the "work".....so I did not do it.

What I do is use a great healing coconut oil toothpaste that I add some drops
of clove oil to and some dashes of baking soda....This mixture is in a 2 oz jar that I
dip my toothbrush into, 2 times daily, morning and night..

The the Grape Seed Ex keeps my gums in good health and I have used GSExtract
    for decades...no gum receding.

I rinse my mouth nightly with a H20 swig.

And lastly have cut OUT refined sugary stuff.....don't need it and my teeth and
    mouth thank me.

If I get some pain in the area I drop some Myrrh Tincture on the toooth and gum area....I would not be without Myrrh Tincture.

A man carrying a large hunting knife into a dentist office and nobody approaches him about it. Unfortunately, people are getting away with so much today, due to fear.

Well, I talked to a friend of ours yesterday on the phone about the dude coming into the dentist office with a large hunting knife on his belt. Our friend is an Army Vietnam Vet, with a Purple Heart. He told me that the Receptionist should have politely told him that he had leave his knife in his vehicle. If he didn't want to, have the manager speak to him. If that didn't work, to call police.
I totally agree with our friend! Some of this "I can do what I want, when I want" has to stop.

Way too many people think that my rights are restricted my their pants-wetting. No one cares how you feel. He did not carry a knife "into a dentist office"...he always carries it wherever he goes. He hurt no one, he represented no danger. He's not "getting away" with anything. And Yes, as a free citizen, I will do darn near anything...and it's not up to you or to anyone else to "allow it."

Freedom depends on people tolerating that which they do not like or approve of. If you don't like it, don't look.

Well, John, I would love to see you do anything you want at any time you want to.............and see what happens. Certain things it would be ok, while other things would consist of jail or prison time. And, the word "Freedom" is taken entirely too far. Yes, a person can tell a Judge to "F-off" and end up in jail. A person can tell a cop the same, with consequences, just like the court judge can do.

John, why do you think there is so much crap going on in the U.S. and world today..................because there are those that do things that they know others won't say a word about.

IOW, being "open-minded" isn't necessarily a good thing.

Just looked it up, Colorado law states "no restrictions" on open-carry knifes. But, that discretion should be used in public places where there are those it would scare."

Just what are you talking about, I can find numerous posts where YOU tell people how you feel about certain things. No one wants to respond because they are afraid of confrontation from folks like you.

PLEASE put me on "ignore". We get along better that way! Actually, perhaps I should just log out and never come back. Bet that would make everyone happy. I'll be nobody will miss me!

No law I have ever seen has such "if it makes people afraid" standards, and I can find no such reference in the Colorado knife laws. You might want to double-check that and edit accordingly so you don't misinform people as to what the law says.

You mean like cutting down somebody else's lilacs or are you only referring to things *other* people want to do?
