@Cody Fousnaugh I thought this might interest you since in one of your posts you were talking about wearing your Boston T-Shirt. http://www.tmz.com/2017/03/23/boston-drummer-sib-hashian-dead/
It is odd how it seems to go in groups sometimes. We just had a thread about Chuck Berry, and I think there was some movie actor that just died recently, too. You would think that these people would be able to afford the best doctors and live longer; but maybe the stress is just a lot harder on them, or they did too many drugs or something like that ?
I think this past year had the most deaths, I do think for most, not all though...their lifestyle might have shortened their lives.
I just read, on Facebook, that Boston will be at the St. Augustine Amphitheater next month and one of the comments was that the drummer had died on a Music Legends Cruise this past Wednesday that Boston was playing on. No reason for death given yet. I had their first cassette, called Boston. Nothing after that interested me. I was a Relief Route Salesman when the band first hit the radio in 1976. Loved their songs, Long Time and Smokin'. Have a dvd of them in concert and boy does the keyboard player have a nice setup. Love a band with a Keyboard player. The drummer, who just died, was a fantastic drummer. I remember, in 2008, Boston was looking for a new Lead Singer, former one died. A 47 yr. old guy, working at Home Depot, loved Boston music and had it on a karaoke machine. His parents had a Casio Keyboard, that he sat down at and played a Boston song as a Tribute to the late Lead Singer. He was convinced by his son and daughter to put his singing of this Boston song on the old Myspace website and also send an e-mail to Boston containing his voice singing a couple of their songs. He was hired as their Lead Singer!
