Wondering if any one uses 'Brain Games' to improve their memory.
I downloaded a few to try out on my phone and tablet.

During the last years before my Dad passed, he didn't know who I was
and would recall in great detail pass events in his life.
During this time, my Mom was the 'nice lady who visits him'.
The same condition occurred with his father.
I realize there are conditions that can be passed on from generations,
so has me a little worried.

Now that I no longer work everyday with tech problems, I seem to have more
memory problems and a slower thought process.

Figured it couldn't hurt to try and stimulate the old mind with some games.
"Mind Games" and "Brain it On!" are two I downloaded.
Nothing to lose and they can be fun sometimes.

I have a crossword and word game I use to try and stimulate the old grey matter. Enjoy Tim :)

I am not into games so much; but i find interesting information on the internet and read about it, working on expanding my knowledge and keeping my brain working all at the same time.
I think that it is very important not to just vegetate in front of the television as we grow older. That is bad for our minds and our bodies both, so no matter how we do it, keeping the brain thinking about things is one of the best ways to keep it functioning well, and exercise helps our brain to get a good supply of oxygen and fuel to think with.

You are right to keep your mind active Tim, and although some may disagree with me, coffee is really good in the prevention of Alzheimers. It is a major anti oxidant and they recommend 3 cups per day. Also, physical exercise is great too. Alzheimers runs in my family too, and my dad does nothing to preserve his brain, it makes me upset. That is one reason I was glad to see him get the riding lawn mower, because I am sure that made some new connections in his brain. I told my mother to get him some word searches, and crosswords. He generally just does the same things over and over.

My husband is discouraging me to play with games in the phone because he is afraid that I will become addicted. In fact, I play Candy Crush to relax myself especially when I am waiting for someone. My only brain game is the sudoku that comes with the daily paper which I solve in one day (when I am in the toilet). My husband said that sudoku is not just mathematics but more of logic because I am arranging the numbers in the correct square. He has no complaints about sudoku but still, he is discouraging me to play Candy Crush.

In the earlier years of smart phones, I have downloaded word games where you make words out of the jumbled letters. It is exciting at first but after some weeks, it becomes boring to me so I quit.
