Burt Bacharach passed away yesterday (Feb 8, 2023) of natural causes at the age of 94. He wrote "dozens" of Top 10 hits, many with his partner Hal David, who passed in 2012.

Here is one of my all-time favorite Bacharach tunes.

Here's one of my favorite tunes by him; of course, with Dionne. RIP to a true legend.

And they almost always have Dionne singing them. She was given grief at one point for stating that Bacharach's songs were written for her...but I think she's right.

Many of Burt Bacharach's songs would have been very hard for most people to sing. The notes jump around high to low. Dionne Warwick could hit those notes perfectly. I would liked to have heard her record Dolly Parton's "I Will Always Love You." I bet she could have done it well softly, and effortlessly, like Dolly.
