Clouds Of Applesauce

I was going through my mother's recipes looking for Mince Meat Pie (I was unsuccessful.) I came across this quick & easy recipe that was clipped from a newspaper and thought it looked interesting.

Clouds of Applesauce​

Serves 8

2 cups heavy cream
1/4cup confectioners sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups applesauce
1 tsp ground nutmeg
1 pint strawberries, hulled/washed/halved

Whip the cream with confectioners sugar and vanilla until stiff.
Fold in applesauce and nutmeg.
Garnish top with strawberries.
Chill until ready to serve.
