For me, walking is a wonderful way to keep in shape both physically and mentally. I was devoted to biking, weight training, and hiking before I had an accident in 2016. Now walking is my only sport. I find that while walking I think/plan/create more than I ever did with my past sports. Happy walking Denise!
I love my walks. I used to feel all I wanted is to meet someone to walk with me until I found how therapeutic it was for me to just do it on my own. Once in awhile I'll call a friend on the phone and yack the whole walk, but that's pretty rare. It is so relaxing that I sleep better at night if I walk after dinner (usually done by 6, with doing my dishes). I do like going earlier in the day and like today, I'll probably have a nap about 2 but not a very long one. Happy walking to you to Eilidh, nice to meet you, Denise
Reading all that you guys do for energy and that's great, and I did that walking, gyms, dancing, hiking etc and then when the joints got worse, opted for a hip replacement and now 12 yrs later, have to depend a lot on what I put in my mouth as my body can't do much walking. I have a morning routine to stretch out the body before I get my day going and thank goodnesss I do my stretching and tapping work.
