Deaths In Custody

    These are Australian statistics. Interested to see the US stats too.

    Since 1979–80, there has been 2,608 deaths in custody occur in Australia, with 1,600 deaths occurring in prison and 985 deaths in police custody and custody-related operations. Additionally, there have been 18 deaths in youth detention or welfare facilities and five deaths in other criminal justice settings.

    Of the 2,608 people who have died in custody since 1980, only 500 were Indigenous and 2,104 were of non-Indigenous background.

    Do we see a public outcry over those 2 thousand plus deaths of white Australians. Heck no. They have the wrong skin color.

    Thank you for posting that. All lives matter regardless of color- many have forgotten that. The insanity continues also regardless of color.
    I am just left speechless over trying to wrap head around any of this insane way of thinking in our world today.
