I had this done to my poor knee back in 2016, by UCLA surgeons, after a 2.5 month IV drip to get rid of a staph infection my knee. Long story. Actually, I believe the infection came from the 5th Prolo injection in that knee, I was doing good to the 4th injection and decided to do a 5th and the MD hit the wrong area in the knee. I did not walk for 2.5 months as the infection was not found by UCLA docs... The clean out should NOT have been done as knee is NOT improved. The clean out removed good tissue and cartlidge that was in the knee and should have been left there...UCLA should have stopped after the IV's as I figure it now years later and live with the misery of the damaged knee. Live and learn and going for more knee work is the LAST thing I would consider. Anyone get this arthro clean out work?
Oh my goodness so sorry they did this to you, they did it to me too first gave me a damn stroke that took part of my vision then 7 months later did heart surgery I did not need. 2 Stents the money grubbing ghouls put in. Anyone who isn't involved in their care needs to be. I'm madder at myself than them because I knew better but stressed. People aren't what they use to be and dentist and doctors are people. I did the exercises and saved my knees from surgery. I kept getting Bakers Cyst and using walker more and more, that was several years ago.
I healed my own knees though with a little help from these guys and one other that I can't find now. I like them for all kinds of self help. So I try to keep busy and moving ,use it or lose it. If I didn't smoke all my life I be in good shape for my age. But if I sit here in this chair for a day or so it takes alot to start back up.
I'm not saying to stay away from doctors, just be involved in your care. Doctors save lives no denying that. But sometimes they make mistakes and when they do we pay for it. I still go to doctors if I have to and hubby just went for BP.
All my issues advanced after hip replacement in 2010, and yes I was in a lot of pain and hard to walk and the last thing I wanted was a big sirgery, and it was big... the docs don't paint many negative pictures of what the outcome could be and if I had done more research etc I don't know what I would have done, but I did it and I live with the outcome, not a breeze or walk in the park. Yes docs can save lives, but many are damaged..
I hope you can get better and know how hard it is to go through these kinds of ordeals. Hope things turn around for you and others learn from our bad experiences.
Thanks I do affirmations daily on "healing" of my knees and feet and I believe it helps some to do these.....a complete reversal ???????
