Yeah, it means Kelly is winning so far, but the 29% of the vote yet to be counted are the votes from the bush, and that is where Murkowski does her cheating since it is so difficult to supervise elections in remote communities. I am hoping that Kelly wins but we will see. It may take until the end of the month to get final results.

Apparently his remarks on DeSantis have hurt Trump in Florida. I read his approval in Florida dropped after he dissed DeSantis but I don't know by how much.

If I understand it correctly, the Alaska senate seat will remain Republican whether Kelly or Lisa win. I think that means the Republicans now have 49 senate seats. That leaves only three uncalled senate races: Arizona, Georgia, and Nevada.

Correct me if I am wrong, but it looks like the Republicans will need to win two of the three remaining seats to control the senate: Arizona, Georgia, and Nevada.

Beth; rather gross. Reminds of what I said yesterday to a market worker that got my food delivery order messed up, I was kinda wrong too, as some of t he tabs were changed on the order page of the market and I didn't notice the change, IT got all worked out but somehow a portion did not and the store called me last night asking me to pay for some delivery charges, which were not for me as the mess got fixed, but this ole 84 grandma yelled at him with "oh F", he didn't need to hear that from my mouth and I really don't like the word, and I have been using it more and more in the last almost 3 yrs. Never used it in my life. kinda sorta like your vomit comment.....this is a case where I only wish I had not shouted out.

So much of life has gotten so ugly...

Yet another female in the public arena being trashed? I've kept my "mouth" shut so far, but it's getting a little tiresome.

What on earth could make someone view Stacey Abrams with so much hatred? Misinformation from Infowars, or YouTube creators, meant to cause more division? Is she a pedophile also?

Before Stacy Abrams Georgia was a one party good old boy state. First when it was dominated by the Southern Democrats, and since the Civil Right legislation of the 60s, when the Southern Democrats switched to the Republican party. Lyndon Johnson predicted it.

Abrams, and her get out the vote organization, has made Georgia come close to being a purple state in just 4 years. Two viable political parties is a good thing. Before her, most races ran unopposed or just a token opponent. There was no need to vote except for local races. Stacey Abrams has probably done more as an organizer than she could have as governor with a Republican dominated state legislature.

I agree, things are certainly not like they used to be. I find myself more foul-mouthed, too, though I try to restrain myself. When I'm driving though... watch out and keep your ears covered!! :D

I don’t much care for Stacy Abrams, but I do agree that people who should not be being trashed, are being insulted without cause, and I find that objectionable, no matter which side is doing the trashing.
Another one who is really being trashed , for something that he can’t help, is John Fetterman. If he is not well enough to run, then he should have stopped; but he apparently thought he was okay, and continued on. This man can’t help that he had a stroke partway though his campaign, and it appears that he was simply pushed along anyway, capable or not.
Since one of the people on the ballot in PA was already dead (for a month) and got elected, it looks to me like people just voted a straight Democratic ticket, and that is how Fetterman and the dead guy both got elected.

People that used to be supporters are even turning against President Trump, when he isn’t even running for anything, and has spent more time helping Republicans campaigning than any other Republican has done.
Now, they are using divisiveness between Trump and DeSantis as an excuse; but Trump supported him for governor, too.

I agree with you, @Nancy Hart ; this is terribly wrong, and further divides this country when we need to be working together.

Hi John, I just finished watching Victor Davis Hanson analyze the midterm elections. He agrees with your assessment of Trump being too egocentric and why Trump was part of the reason the huge red wave did not appear. He also discusses many other factors for the no-show red wave and where we are heading from here. If you are interested, here is the link:

Georgia will go to a runoff in December. One commentator said if Kelly wins in Alaska, it will be like gaining another Republican. So many issues occurred in Arizona that it appeared to be a replay of 2020 there. Republicans need 51 reliable seats to have control, as that would keep the VP out of the voting, but both Murkowski and Collins are rogues for the Red side.

People are very angry now and there's not much compassion left in the world. Very sad.

The eminent historian Victor Davis Hanson posted an article on Real-Clear Politics today. He does a great job of explaining why it happened the way it did. If interested, here is the link:

I agree with most of what he said. Trump should have stuck with unite the right and forget the past. But then Trump has been nothing but persecuted since he first got into politics.
