I'm assuming each state has their own. I never check Florida's because it has a stupid website name like Fla Hunt for Treasure and I thought it was a scam. My daughter in law received money owed from them and told me about it. I checked the site and sure enough, I had a $75 payment due to me by an old insurance company from 2001. I got the email today saying I would receive it within 14 days. OK, it's not LOTS of money, but what a nice surprise. If you haven't already done so, check every state you've ever lived in just to see if some money you didn't know about is just laying there waiting for you to claim it.
I found a bank account once that I had forgotten about. Unfortunately, I had forgotten about it because there were only a few hundred dollars in it.
'A few hundred dollars?' Scratch that 'only a few hundred dollars? lol I couldn't even find a utility company that owed me money.
Before debit/credit cards, it wasn't easy getting money out of banks other than the ones that I had accounts with. For that matter, even between branches of the same bank, there could be a problem. So whenever I was making enough money to make it worth my while, I would have bank accounts at three or four different banks. For that matter, I think we have that many now.
