Still got mine. To my knowledge, I've only known two people who have had theirs removed: -My boss' wife when she was in her mid 30s. -A friend's daughter (just a month ago) when she was 21.
Thankfully, no. I was glad to say goodbye to that organ. I had it out on a Thursday and was back at work on Monday. No problems.
Once a doctor told me I had "sludge balls" in mine. I was afraid to ask what that meant, so I just ignored it. That was about 35 years ago, and I still have the gallbladder.
Mine was removed when I was 22, in an Army hospital in the Vietnam era, done by combat surgeons who had yet to learn the fine points of treating dependents. If I could have avoided it, I would have. Today's procedure is so much quicker and easier from what I understand.
Yes, I still have mine, along with my Appendix, my Prostate, my Tonsils, and my Adenoids. However, I did have a Vasectomy after becoming a Father. Thank you for asking... Harold
Correction: It was my appendix they removed during my colon cancer surgery, not my gall bladder. My gall bladder is still in place and happy.
