This administration and others have perceived China as a threat and possibly an enemy, but Trump would refer to China as being more of a competitor. I lean to that view myself.

China has a right to pursue it's own self interests just like any other, but Taiwan is the fly in the ointment. It might just be a long lasting stalemate.

This administration likes people to think they believe China is a threat, but several members--notable the head of the administration--has received millions of dollars in graft from the very government they want you to believe they think is a threat. Russia, Russia, Russia is the enemy you know.

Hunter admits the laptop was his and is now suing the blind repairman. He also admits the 'big guy' was Joe and the million dollar deals he made with China produced half for Joe. The Bidens don't care if they actually cause WWIII or destroy our country from within. Which is the bigger threat.

If he admits it all, that means he is sure he can get away with it. Which crime family is worse: the Clintons or the Bidens?

Congress for not taking them down because the corruption is spread so far.

I see that there was the first real confrontation between Taiwan and China this morning or perhaps last night. A Chinese warship entered Taiwan waters within 24 miles of the coast. It was met by a Taiwanese warship and a tense standoff ensued. Weapons were pointed but none were fired. After a period of time, the Chinese ship backed off, but it may not happen again. Will we in a war with China in a week or so, or will we let them take Taiwan?

They have to hurry up and do what they want before the next election
Then again, we have no more traditional weapons.

Except for the Taiwan issue, I’m sure that viewing them as a competitor is better for world peace than viewing them as an enemy.

Except that we have been viewing them as a competitor, while they have been viewing us as an enemy to be defeated.

I expect that the current Tik-Tok furor is a front intended to get Republican support for stronger government control over social media and, once achieved, it will immediately be used to mandate that all social media join in the censorship of free thought.

They certainly are trying to censor information about the bank failures as well as the wars in Ukraine and Sudan, both of which we are probably responsible for. Victoria Nuland was in both places just prior to revolts stating.

The scenario will play out like this, one of our carrier groups are near the strait and the only force in the region. A Chinese aircraft was fired on by the escorts for getting to close to our carrier. The Chinese air group started an attack and sacrificed all their front line fighter bombers but also emptied the US ammo in the group plus sunk vessels. In the end our force was gutted and the Chinese continued their take over of Taiwan. One carrier group is not a deterrent to the Chinese and they are of course perfectly willing to sacrifice a heck of a lot of aircraft and vessels if needed to be victorious. Unless of course nukes are introduced. I don't believe nukes would be an option in the case of Taiwan.

It would be a world wide blockade of any Chinese Trade which would bring them to their knees or they would die from within. This should have been done already to Russia for all their war crimes destroying an entire country and not military targets. The tally is now up to like 170 thousand killed and wounded for Russia, 3600 destroyed Tanks and that could be a mix of all armored vehicles but still a very heavy price to pay for gaining nothing. I do know the Taiwanese won't lay down without a fight. They will take down as many Chinese as possible, there are no ties to China since before WWII.

Stop and remember Russia left in the dark of night from Afghanistan after losing 1000s of soldiers and arms. 3 divisions of troops and armor and equipment were ran out of Afghanistan. Just think of the loss today in Ukraine ? what is that little midget puten thinking ? With Taiwan what would be the motive for the Chinese to win. Most of our electronics come out of Taiwan but I doubt the Chinese are interested in taking the plants because they would surely be destroyed by the Taiwanese before allowing the Chinese to take anything usable.

Shutting down the strait would be their prime reason and a good dose of mines would be a good way of making sure that China does not use it either. You can bet that would be one of the first moves made by our forces, mine close to the mainland and it would be the low flying B-1s during the night. They would drop their loads and never even be heard by most unless they were on the beach picnicking at 2am. You just have to witness a B-1 in action flying through a mountain range at 400 feet then climbing out over a mountain in front of it and then down again. I have no doubt it would be the aircraft used for such a task.
