Every time I log in I scroll past Evolution of Language with Our Favorite Dylan Lyrics. Nothing against Nobel winner Bob Dylan, but I always had a strage feeling that there is something I should think about or be aware of...or something. I finally went into the in-house garage and climbed on a step stool to look at my collection of important British lit, which is on a shelf close to the cealing. (Nobody keeps cars in an in-house garage.) Sure enough: DYLAN THOMAS The Collected Stories. I got it down and re-read some of the stories. Good stuff! Now then! The important thing here is that reading this thread I've seen that we have some poets in the club. Probably the thing that most people know about D Thomas are his two best know poems: Do Not go gental into that good night, and Death shall have no dominion. Both of these are available on poets.org, I would be thrilled if some of the friends here would (re?)read some of his poems and maybe stories and post comments here. (Maybe I could find some other stuff in my classic lit shelves.)
I had a bit of dermatology surgery a few days ago and was advised to take it easy with my outside work for a few days. Obviously I'm keeping my couch warm and providing some body contact to my lap dog.
Thanks Beth. I'm following instructions and everything seems to be going will. I am spending more time on the couch with my laptop and lapdog. He's huddled up against me as I wright this.
Thanks Mary! The dog does insist that I have my arm draped over him. His foot is under the laptop as I write this.
Can I go way off topic? I was going to make a stupid joke about confusing Dylan Thomas with Danny Thomas and I got to thinking about one of my heroes - Marlo Thomas. https://www.stjude.org/directory/t/marlo-thomas-spokesperson.html
