Wouldn't that in effect do away with the Electoral College? The popular vote winner would get all the electoral votes...? Maybe I'm missing something.

You are correct, and that is actually why the democrats who do not like the electoral college came up with the idea. They started it in 2019, in case Trump won in 2020 and Biden got the popular vote, they could move all the votes in all the states to Biden. But most of the red states didn’t sign up for it, or looked at the idea but didn’t adopt it into law.
Now, it would have come back to bite them …HARD… if it had passed in enough states for it to be an active law in those states, since Trump also won the popular vote.

I have been saying Kamala's concession speech was actually quite nice. If she could have talked like that, she might have had a chance. She had an acceptance speech ready, I am sure but not a concession one. She needed someone to write it and load it into the teleprompter. That takes time.

Yes, it would. Democrats want to get rid of anything that might get in the way of their winning elections or advancing their agenda, whether it be the filibuster, a 9-member Supreme Court, the Electoral College, or requirements that only citizens can vote.

They would have simply ignored it. Perhaps a lawsuit would have been required to dislodge things.

Plus, Republican governors outnumber Democrat governors 27 to 23.

I hope the Republicans don't waste their majority during the next two years, as they usually do.

What is interesting is that Wisconsin had an anti abortion law already on the books from the late 1800's that nobody noticed or paid any attention to until this big stink put out by the Biden/Harris administration.

The problem is that he talked about it before but didn't do it. He even let Hillary go because he didn't think it was proper to jail the wife of a President. But now he has a strong team which is what they have been afraid of and trying to destroy him for. Now he can do it. The enemy within will probably all move to Moldavia. Or somewhere.

Those are not anti-abortion, they are pro-abortion laws that were on the ballot. The Florida law actually "won" with votes but did not have a super majority, whatever that means.

I think if we compare what Trump accomplished to any other president he'd tower over all. Plus, having to fend off the lefts bogus charges the whole time.

I think all he has to do is give an eviction notice 30 days and no more freebies. No housing, education, food medical...It will be winter so they better listen. This means no more federal aid to sanctuary cities. Mayors can find their own money.
