I'm so disgusted after hearing about this yesterday. I heard it on Fox News, and I'll put a link from DMV CA. This was way back January 2015 it was passed, but I didn't know about it until yesterday.

The gal speaking on Fox that was "for" it had 2 points that made it right and good(in her opinion). We can keep better track of the "non" citizens, and we're supposedly safer on the roads I think was the other one.

It's going to get to a point, unless maybe Trump can stop it, where illegal immigrants do NOT ever have to file for citizenship. You're an American when you say you are.

If American's are too good to do the jobs illegals are doing, then maybe I'll be more enthused about the "robot" industry coming right along.

Oh the opposing view, against the licenses pointed out the fact these "drivers license" were to be obviously MUCH different than Americans DL's and anyone could easily spot the differences, but no, they are made very hard to distinguish the dif.

I was surprised to learn that 23 counties in Iowa are listed as sanctuary jurisdictions. Surprisingly, mine is not one of them. I hope Trump can change this situation.

At least the state, (I hope), has not stooped so low as to subsidize payment of the mandatory liability insurance required to obtain registration of vehicles. Years ago, not long after AZ had enacted it's Financial Responsibility Law, lawyers representing mainly poor working class Latinos sued the state, successfully, claiming their clients' rights to employment was impeded by the insurance requirement; they HAD to drive, to get to work. Taxpayers footed the premiums.
