Mayor Adams in NYC was all for open borders until it started to affect his domain. As long and Texas and Arizona were bearing the brunt of this, he was fine. The Aussies have pointed out the hypocrisy:
Albemarle County (where the city of Charlottesville is) has been a sanctuary county for a while. It was all good when it fueled the housing boom. Now the Next Door forum is full of stories of stolen catalytic converters and gunfire and helicopters. Post: This week there were shots fired on Preston Ave and Fashion Square Mall was locked down for a shooting. Do you think there is any correlation to the recent drug bust? Are the criminals having turf wars? What is happening here? Comment: I was told by a cville p.o more than a year ago that the cartels are setting up shop. I said then we would become the next little Juarez. Just like NYC and Chicago, the border issues have hit home. Comment: It is simple you have in Albermarle county a commonwealth attorney who will not enforce drug laws and believes in catch and release, thugs know that and are not afraid to do whatever they want The same is happening in northern Virginia. There are small towns that used to be real nice that people won't go near now, and fear they may get caught in "the wrong place" after dark. And like Albemarle county, that's in the suburbs, not cities. I fear it may bleed this way because our Board of Supervisors has approved apartment complexes that we don't need so as to provide housing from Albemarle County's overflow.
Another comment from Australia on Biden's wackiness, and how he has lied about his upbringing. Incidentally, he has been saying things like this his entire political life, and he was called on it in the past by national media, but no one dares to do it now except the foreign media:
Biden, Hillary, Pelosi, et al are the result of what happens when you are shielded from reality and from the benefits of normal, honest feedback. No one would want to be them, and they have no idea who they are.
