I hate to waste a perfectly good thread, so I think I'll move it to the games category and turn it into a game. Provide a quotation about errors. I'll start. "I know there's a proverb which says, 'To err is human,' but a human error is nothing to what a computer can do if it tries." -- Agatha Christie
I like it Ken waste not want not From the errors of others, a wise man corrects his own. Publilius Syrus
"The error of youth is to believe that intelligence is a substitute for experience, while the error of age is to believe experience is a substitute for intelligence." -- Unknown
I'll quote myself, if that isn't too self-indulgent. In the days when I trained people in IT, I always told my trainees that I didn't mind them making mistakes. Please, though, I said, don't make the same ones - find a new mistake to make.
This reminds me of another board that I used to be on. A friend made an error and asked everybody to ignore the post. We refused to ignore it and it went on and on. We has sooo much fun not ignoring that post.
Man is so intelligent that he feels impelled to invent theories to account for what happens in the world. Unfortunately, he is not intelligeny enough, in most cases, to find correct explanations. So that when he acts on his theories, he behaves very often like a lunatic. By; Aldous Huxley
Same here! ... on another board I've lived on for years, an ERROR thread turned into a 2 year comedy log. Whenever it stopped for a time, someone had to go breathe life into it again ..... So here's to the Error Thread!
