From the local newspaper Honolulu Star Advertiser in the Crave Section there was an article about food huggers to use in place of saran wraps! It's so nice looking and seems simple to use.

The article entitled food huggers by Michelle Ramos, mramos@staradvertiser.com says the cost is 12.95 for a sset of 5. You can find them at huggers.com, amazon too. What do you feel about them...will food huggers replace saran wraps?

I don't think they will for me. I just use different size zip lock bags. But they are bright and colorful.

Well, those are neat and trendy little items. I never heard of them before. I have a tomato saver, but I ended up using it for brillo pads..lol. I am not sure if I would use those food huggers, as cute as they might be!

I have one, it's an avocado. I haven't used it for avocado though, although I've used it for other things, mainly tomatoes. I guess over the years I learned to eat an avocado all in one go, since they can get slimy and discolored if they sit opened, and I'd end up just tossing them. I ran across the avocado keeper somewhere a few years back and thought it was cute, so I bought it.

I have not heard of these before. Is there a specific advantage to using the food huggers that I can not get otherwise? If not, I will stick to my baggies, aluminum foil, and plastic containers with lids. Thank you for the new product, though.
