Well, doesn't this sound appetizing??? Lab-grown meat. All those pesky animals and their flatulence have just got to go. I never considered being a vegetarian until now. https://www.yahoo.com/news/fda-clears-lab-grown-meat-for-human-consumption-181158042.html For the first time, the Food and Drug Administration has cleared lab-grown meat, created from cultured animal cells, for human consumption, the agency announced on Wednesday. The FDA green light applies only to chicken products made by Upside Foods, a California-based company founded in 2015, though in its announcement the FDA said it is ready to work with other firms that are developing cultured animal cell food. The agency said that it had evaluated information submitted by Upside Foods as part of a pre-market consultation, and that it had “no further questions at this time about the firm’s safety conclusion.”
i don't trust anything about what they're doing. they're already using aborted fetus molecules as flavor enhancer research for many food companies..since 2002
How about a big plate of genetically-modified veggies and lab-grown meat? Yum. I should have titled this thread "The FDA... Can Be Bought By the Highest Bidder."
You mean like GMO...or tracking illnesses by vax status? "If we pointed it out, you would think that there's a difference...and we can't have you thinking that."
From another article: The decision means that Berkeley, California-headquartered UPSIDE Foods, formerly known as Memphis Meats, will be able to bring its "cultivated chicken" products to the market once it has been inspected by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). The company grows meat, poultry, and seafood by harvesting the cells from live animals and using them to grow the meat inside a cultivator. The cells are constantly nourished with an "optimized" feed that consists of "common compounds found in animal feed and human food, including amino acids, fatty acids, sugars, trace elements, salts, and vitamins."
