The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals has upheld a Texas law banning discrimination based on political view point. I guess it only applies to Texas now, since lower court decisions supporting conservative viewpoints only apply to thee district or circuit in which the decision was made while those supporting liberal/progressive viewpoints apply to the entire nation. It appears to ban deplatforming, demonetizing, and other forms of discrimination based on political viewpoint unless it violates existing law. This would be a big step toward a freer internet and social media, and would take much of the political power out of the hands of the big tech oligarchs. Of course, this could be appealed to the SCOTUS, but then, if upheld, would certainly apply nationwide. It essentially declares the social media platforms to be utilities, and, as such, cannot make decisions based on politics any more than a phone company or power company could refuse to serve you based on your viewpoints despite the fact that most are privately-held companies. link
He resides in TX and putting his feet to work where his mouth is. The US Constitution does not give the gubmint power over the people, it is to restrict what the gubmint can do. Nothing in the US Constitution gives the gubmint control of health care; and does not have a provision where it can be suspended when some polytickers or the UN declares a so called national emergency. In Texas (where I live) I have been asking my elected representatives to restrict/limit what the Federal and State governments are doing and thankfully we are seeing a move in that direction. Public Health has been used by a few global corporations to force folks to comply with things that the gubmint clearly does not have the right to require us to do. This over reach is finally coming to a stop but no one is being held accountable for the crimes that have been and are being committed. The AG of Texas has filed a court case in Federal court that (if successful) will nullify about 90% of the things the Federal gubmint has been doing, I think the state of Texas will win that court case. I am also pushing to get programmable digital currency made illegal in Texas, I expect this will have to wait until the next formal meeting of the Texas state legislature but it may be done under a "special session" if the Federal gubmint tries to push this on us before the next scheduled legislative session. In the USA we have a Constitutional Republic, not a Democracy and most folks are not aware of that, and most folks think the Federal Reserve Bank is a part of the Federal government, it's not. Much work to be done.
