Formatting Micro Sd Card

Do you have to format all new SD cards? How do you do that?

 

I believe it is recommended. Is this for a computer, camera, or what? There are probably youtube videos on the process.

 

Thanks. It's for a camera. I'll check You Tube. Duh, should have thought of that. Sometimes I think my questions are so basic why would they be on the internet, but, then I have to remember EVERYTHING is on the internet.

 

Actually I thought most everyone nowadays used an iPhone for pictures, not a Digital. We have a Digital and a DVD Video Camera, but haven't used either in quite a while.
