I've never used more spray than was absolutely necessary but, here, if you don't use some spray, the insects eat everything. I have always waited until the edge of dark to spray so that the bees have gone back to the hive.
I use a powder to stop caterpillars or they would make holes on tomatoes but I never use anything on fruit trees

It looks like for the next 90 days (3 months) or so, we will NOT see daytime temperatures above 0c (32f) and nighttime temperatures much colder.. Tonight it is down to -17c which is equal to 0f..
I planted my snow flowers just in time.. This year, I went all out and really sprinkled many seeds on our front lawn..
It’s looking like a nice sunny day today ideal for gardening however we are invited to our neighbours for a. roast beef lunch today so we will be inside all day . I’m away for a couple of days from tomorrow ..yep more socialising for 2 days in a row no doctors appointments thank goodness
Thanks Louise it’s only 9 am so we are not going till just after 12 noon ..I’m cooking a bread and butter pudding I make using fruit bread I get from a bakery that makes fresh bread and sweet stuff every day ( in Adelaide ) so that’s usually part of my shopping when we go to the city to get fresh bread I buy 2 loafs of bread a month and a small fruit bread it has lotsa fruit and no preservatives in anything
