A beautiful sunny day again and warm toom 77 degrees. The fallen leaves have almost covered our whole lawn,!! but they need to dry up before hubby can chop them up with his riding lawn mower,,
Same here with the leaves except I leave them on the lawn over the winter and mulch them up in the spring.. They are very good for my snow flowers which I will be doing shortly..
I had to go to the emergency room last night. Or actually yesterday afternoon, late. I thought I had a blood clot in my leg but they said I have cellulitis. I have to take antibiotics and sit with my legs propped up. I'm sitting in my recliner with pillows under my leg. I am going to try to play some games on my Kindle but I don't know how that's going to go. That little keyboard is so tiny I have trouble typing on it. I might make a lot of oopsies. If I do, please overlook them. I'll do better later.
Oh my goodness, Shirley. I'm so sorry to hear this. Cellulitis can be quite dangerous so take good care. You don't have lymphedema in your leg do you? Oddly enough, my husband drove his mother to have a doppler scan of her leg today; it was swollen for some reason. No clot and they have no idea why it swelled. Sorry for butting in on the "Game Chat," since I'm not a gamer. But I do eavesdrop on this conversation occasionally!!
Welcome on here Beth.... Shirley... Here's hoping you can get better very soon... Old age isn't everything its meant to be.. Take care...
So nice of you Beth , Hope your mother in law gets well soon too,, i will be 80 this month, And I too have had and still have a lot of medical problems .. i always recall my father telling me that ... "It's tough gettting old.. " How true,, how true,,
Getting older isn't for sissies that's for sure. I hit 70 on Thursday. Get better soon dearest Shirley.
I just want to tell everyone that ........................... GETTING OLD IS A PRIVILEGE THAT NOT EVERYONE HAS
How dare you imply that I am old!!!!!! My leg in much better. The swelling and redness is gone. I still have to take the antibiotics for four more days. The waiting area in the emergency room is huge. It was full when we got there and full when we left. I saw people who had their masks down below their mouth and chin. Don't they know that everybody there is sick????? One of the workers said that it's a very bad season for respiratory infections already. A lot of people were hacking and coughing. There was a little girl near us that had a horrible sounding cough. There were four little babies there. The most distressing sound I ever heard is a sick baby wailing. One young black man was trying to fill out some kind of papers and hold his baby at the same time. I so wanted to offer to take the baby and let him fill out the form but I didn't dare. Too much risk of the baby being contagious. I have to say, the emergency room workers were efficient. Everybody was doing their job as quickly as possible. One young man rushed by me with blood pouring from his hand. He had cut an artery on some broken glass. They rushed him on back and I never saw him after that. I hope they got it taken care of.
Thanks, Louise. MIL is doing well. I'd like to wish you and Joybelle a very Happy Birthday in case I miss your special days.
