Shirley... the older you get, the better you get.. I didn't mean to say that you are totally ready to give up.. Just that you are getting better with age...
We as seniors have something that is priceless.. We earned all of it.. We have the wisdom, knowledge, experience, understanding, tolerance, expertise, and the patience just to name a few.. Been there and done that ..
My daughter is coming up here for a short visit today, Sunday.. We haven't seen each other for the past 2+ years.. She will be here for a few days.. Naturally she will be sleeping in the 2nd bedroom where I have my computer.. I won't come on here while she is in the room.. I will be gone from here for a few days..
OK... Here is a look at our kids.... Mine.... I have a daughter (Lyssa) living in Toronto with one daughter A son (Jeffrey) living in Kanata with one daughter Annmarie... A daughter (Sarah) living in Montreal with 5 boys A son (Adam) living in Brisbane Australia with 4 children A son (David) living in both Ottawa and Manila Philippines with 5 girls.. When i married Annmarie in 1997, David was my best man.. On our wedding day he came to me and told me that i wasn't his father but since I married his mother, is it OK if he calls me Dad ??? I told him only if I can call you son... We hugged and that is why I refer to him as my son... If you do the math, we have 16 grandchildren.... The weirdest thing is that none of my children have ever met any of Annmarie's children...
Could be cause, they all do not live near each other?? Not sure what the circumstances are,, but a Family Reunion could be the answer.??? just adding my 2 cents worth,,lol
A family reunion might hard to arrange with them living in such distant places. My niece is from the Philippines. She is beautiful and is as nice as she is beautiful.
One more thing I must tell you... Would you believe that Annmarie's 3 kids children have never met either.... One is in Montreal.. One is in Australia.. One, the family is in the Philippines.. A family reunion is totally impossible.. It will never happen..
Sorry to hear that Steve,.. I never had a whole lot of relatives, but my father was from Switzerland and his brother came for a visit us when i lived in Illinois, ..and then my fathers , brother's son, and his wife and one daughter came to Tenn, to visit me and Paul here where we live in Tenn,, their daughter was 8 years old at that time when they came to visit us about 4 yrs ago now, here in Tenn, Luckily they all spoke english fairly well , even the little girl,!! we still stay in touch via internet,, sending pics now and then too,.. My mom and dad passed away a fairly long time ago..then my brother passed away about 4 or 5 yrs ago,, i have one sister who is 85, who lives in Ohio now,, she had 4 kids but now only has 2, they other 2 had passed away,, So now all that is left is me and my son and my sister and her 2 kids well not kids , all grown and married wtih kids now,, l
I had 8 brothers and three sisters. The only ones left are 1 brother, 2 sisters and me. We were always a close and loving family. I still miss my deceased sister terribly. I think of her every day. Of course, I miss all of them but she and I were like two halves of a whole.
Awe. shirley im so sorry, at least you still have some relatives left, be thankful for that,, i miss my brother the most, he always had me laughing all the time,,
Well, winter has finally arrived.. We just had our first snowfall and I just made it planting my snow flowers.. They are scattered all over the front lawn.. From now on the daytime high is below 0c and nighttime around the -15c mark.... Also its time to put the electric blanket on our bed..
Yep ,time has come to turn up the heat now too, !! Chi ching!! $$$$$$ I actually miss our wood stove this time of the year, the smell of the wood burning was sooo comforting,, loved it,, and miss it,,
Getting to be as cold as a welldigger's butt here, too. But at least we don't have snow. When it's really cold, I wish I had a wood heater or fireplace. Until I remember how much work they are and how the ashes get all over the place.
When we lived in Maine,, we did not have a fireplace. we had a wood stove,.. much safer then a fireplace, this house has a fire place but we will never use it,,too dangerous,,!
