Maybe the article I had read is correct in its statement that gardening is good not only for the physical aspect for also for our mental and emotional aspects. When you are focused with gardening, you tend to divert your attention to your plants and you get to think of the growth especially when some are already fruiting or bearing flowers. In other words, gardening is about growth that is anathema to stress and anxiety.

I am not really fond of gardening but I sometimes check on our plants. Maybe I am just lazy to till the soil and I would always prefer to cuddle my dogs that do gardening. But I am interested in the plants though.

Some things I done as a teen, which included taking care of a garden and hogs, I vowed to myself I'd never do as an adult.......and never have!
Some folks love gardening, just like some folks love using a computer for various things (me). Another thing, not everyone can own property where they can have a garden. We rent, which means no yearly property tax, anything goes bad in the apartment, it is fixed w/ no cost to us and we don't have to do any landscaping..... that's also done by someone else! Of course, being a homeowner is nice, and we've been that as well, but that definitely takes money we don't have anymore.
Sorry, but sometimes I can get carried away with certain Theads.
