It appears that global warming is a reality. As an almost ninety year old Brit it has little threat to me but I despair for the future generations.
A bit like the wheel, now we have affluence established nobody is going to give it up voluntarily. Politicians are an example of excess. We have one of our wasters flying the world in the vain effort to persuade leaders to reduce green house gasses.
Later we are to hold a climate change meeting. which will be a jolly for self important boys and girls who arrive in carbon drenching aircraft, then fly back to produce a meaningless document to be stored with all the others.
Companies are rapidly turning to automation, resulting in a huge pool of unemployment which would logically suggest population reduction which in fact keeps wages low .
I know I have outlived my six and ten to become an unnecessary burden but I am hanging on long as possible. It just hurts to see our collective selfishness destroying what could be a wonderful planet on which to live in selfless harmony.

I think that every few milliniums we the earth has to regenerate itself and wipe out many of us then rebuild.I don't know this but it seems logical.
I also think we do have an effect on the environment but Global warming and mini Ice Ages are natural.
I do know the elements are changing and not sure if its all cause and effect or manufactured by the crackpots in control. What does HARP or Chemtrails have to do with it.

The earth warms, the earth cools, and there are periods in between. That's what the planet does, that's what it's always done, and all the climate change meetings in the world ain't gonna change that.

Yep. And it's interesting to note that the "solution" to this -- or any other human foible -- is always, ALWAYS more laws, more taxes, and a bigger government which is diametrically opposed to individual liberty.

First, they had to persuade the masses that their brains didn't work and they had to rely on government-appointed experts for every facet of human existence.

I am reading about cold temperatures in much of the world this year. We are certainly experiencing a cooler, wetter summer than in recent years, and I have seen notices of cold and even snow endangering the Brazilian coffee crop.

I was just commenting yesterday that we have had an unseasonably cool summer here in the middle of Virginia. There have been some hot days, but a whole lot of mild/cool ones.

I grabbed stats from the weather site I use.

The top chart is July 2021, the bottom chart is July 2020.
-This year was had one or two days that hit 90°
-Last year we had one or two days that were not above 90°

Personally, I love the intellectual dishonesty of taking temps at a certain location, watching a city grow there over time, and then pointing at the increased temp as "evidence."

I think I mentioned this here before, but I was always skeptical that the temps were being fudged until I visited California a few years ago. It was at Fort Ross Park on an the California coast and I saw a weather instrument shelter there. It was in the middle of a grassy field and piled underneath the shelter was a pile of black rocks, in obvious violation of shelter placement rules. The black rocks were placed there deliberately to elevate the temperatures taken at that point. I know many of the temperatures are incidentally elevated due to urbanization and asphalt paving and such, but this was so obviously done deliberately that I was astounded.

I heard someone who is knowledgeable about these things say that when the raw data is processed, the algorithm rejects valid data that does not support the desired outcome. There are places where the temps are declining, and that data automatically gets deleted. I wish I could recall more specifics, but that was the gist of it.

This is where you can play my Tape #23b regarding my disappointment in the prevalence of these shysters. I'll not chew up server space repeating it.

I saw a headline that the plane that was supposed to carry the German delegation to the UN Climate Change Conference was frozen to the tarmac yesterday and couldn't take off. It must be the warming that is changing. I have also seen claims that the arctic is 6+ C. above "normal" but this indicates the ice cover is increasing faster than normal and the temps overall are about normal except the Siberian coast which is significantly colder.

These conflicts only exist because AI has not been fully implemented.

It’s always something. The government and other self-proclaimed rulers of mankind need these dire emergencies so they can manipulate and milk the populace. People never learn. Searches easily turn up dozens of these dooms day prophecies.

The climate might indeed be warming. It has been warming and cooling on a much more drastic scale than this millennia before man even learned about fire. The earth adapted, life adapted, this is the way of the world. Our hubris is mind boggling.

When P.T. Barnum said "There's a sucker born every minute," the world's population was 1,200,000,000. We now got 8,000,000,000 people on the planet, and we ain't no smarter.
