No matter what the vote ends up, it is going to be whatever the Admin decides he wants to do. I voted (see my little sticker with the SF flag on it ?), but then I have been thinking about it, and some people just plain like to argue and be disagreeable and insulting. Maybe it is better if they keep the political section, and just let them do all of the fighting there and not all over the whole forum.
I blocked that section, and already had games blocked; so unless I actually go there and look, those rude political posts are not going to show up in my newsfeed.
If they get rude in the rest of the forum, they can be reported.

I am not (yet, again) a member there, and fear greatly showing my "face" amongst those lustrously voluble folks so dedicatedly bent on my demise that they fabricated tales sent to the admin regarding my total absence of "fitness" to be allowed to remain.

    Why would I go back?

But you are a member there now since you've been unbanned...you just haven't logged on.

The political forum has been hidden. I was afraid to go back also but most never even remember me as CC, lots of new members.

This forum is my home though...I'm comfortable here, but I do belong to other forums also.

I was told on that forum to please remove anything that deals with being Jewish..
I wished a Happy Jewish New Year on there and was sent a PM and told that, that nonsense was not tolerated and remove it and do not post anything like that again.....
I left the forum NEVER to return..

This forum is a special place, for me, and I think for most of us here; because we are more like friends and family to each other, and not just a place to share what we had for breakfast/supper or vacation pictures.
People here actually can care about each other because we are a smaller (and we’ll-moderated when necessary) group of seniors.
The larger forums just have too many people for that kind of camaraderie, plus we all respect each other’s feeling here, even when we are in the midst of disagreeing about some topic.

We could compare the difference here and in larger forums to the difference between dining at your favorite nearby diner, or going out to Red Lobster or Golden Corral.
It might be fun to eat there now and then, but nobody remembers you when you walk in like they do at the neighborhood diner.

I won't be going back if that's their agenda.

I think that this kind of behavior may not be tolerated at SF in the future, either. If people report bullying and attacks by the people who disagree, then those remarks wil be deleted, from what I am understanding.
People who are atheists can get along with people who believe in God, just like we do here; but it may take a while for the antagonists to realize that personal attacks will no longer just be overlooked, and we will be reporting it to admin when we see it.
I believe that even attacks that come in the form of a PM can be reported, although I am not sure about this. (Maybe @Chrissy Cross knows the answer to this ?)
One thing for sure, @Steve North , if you DO decide to go back, those of us who belong to both forums will be supporting you !

(Smith&Wesson will have her six-shooter cleaned and bullets loaded in all chambers...)

Yes, in fact I think you're encouraged to report anything you may get in a PM that upsets you.

They don't want you to post it on the forum ..just show the PM to Matrix or SB.

That's how I understand it anyway.
