Anyone paying attention to and seriously interrogating covid/vaccine data knew the CDC wasn't being truthful with its numbers. Their data simply didn't add up and was so far out of whack with other health organizations around the world that it was highly suspect at best. Now, we hear it from the NYT (as presented in a Townhall article):

The New York Times made an eye-popping admission on Sunday regarding data collected by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) on Covid-19 vaccines. In an article titled, "The C.D.C. Isn’t Publishing Large Portions of the Covid Data It Collects," reporter Apoorva Mandavilli writes: "For more than a year, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has collected data on hospitalizations for Covid-19 in the United States and broken it down by age, race and vaccination status. But it has not made most of the information public."

Mandavilli, who covers science and global health for the Times, reported that the agency has published "only a tiny fraction of the data it has collected" since the pandemic began, including data on booster efficacy for 18 - 49 year-olds, a tremendous chunk of the U.S. population. Reasons listed include bureaucracy, sample size, and not being "ready for prime time," but one that's definitely set to raise lots of eyebrows is the claim that the data could be "misinterpreted" by Covid vaccine skeptics.

"The C.D.C. has been routinely collecting information since the Covid vaccines were first rolled out last year ... The agency has been reluctant to make those figures public ... because they might be misinterpreted as the vaccines being ineffective."https://t.co/hecPyHmWQn— Scott Morefield (@SKMorefield) February 20, 2022

    From the report:

Last year, the agency repeatedly came under fire for not tracking so-called breakthrough infections in vaccinated Americans, and focusing only on individuals who became ill enough to be hospitalized or die. The agency presented that information as risk comparisons with unvaccinated adults, rather than provide timely snapshots of hospitalized patients stratified by age, sex, race and vaccination status.

But the C.D.C. has been routinely collecting information since the Covid vaccines were first rolled out last year, according to a federal official familiar with the effort. The agency has been reluctant to make those figures public, the official said, because they might be misinterpreted as the vaccines being ineffective.

Instead, health experts have been forced to rely on data from Israel and elsewhere to make decisions, the Times reported.

When the New York Times starts telling the truth about a subject, you might suspect something's up.. The bottom line here is that you cannot trust the government to tell you the truth, especially when its agencies have become politicized.

Yeah, it is a shame that both the CDC/NIH complex and the FBI have been totally discredited in the past few years. I understand there is a conspiracy afoot to remake the FBI should Republicans take Congress. Any remake would, however, have to make it past the veto pen of Biden (or whomever is in control).

I suppose it could, but, as the Church Commission discovered, that is very difficult to do with compromising its mission. The FBI, however, can be kept out of FISA Courts and limited to domestic operations only. Any political operations would have to go through the Attorney General, so he/she would be directly held accountable and prosecutable by a special counsel should misconduct occur.

    "accountable"?!?
The system is built depending on 'rogue', dishonesty, lies.

The )world) economy will totally collapse later, when the truth is out, or maybe before then, or even long before then.

There is one reason for the timing of this revelation...Election Year.

-Clean out the government's dirty laundry now so things will be forgotten by November and honest people will be "rehashing history."
-Give the NYT the appearance of credibility so as to be an effective election propaganda tool.
