Happy First Sunday of Advent, the beginning of the Liturgical Year in the Western Christian Church. It was once a time of prayer and fasting, but was changed (probably around the 6th century) into a time of anticipation, discussion of the First and Second Coming of the Lord, and preparation for Christmas. Protestants usually start their Christmas Time today, While Catholics and some others start Christmas on Christmas Eve Midnight Mass and continue for only 12 days until the Epiphany.
