My Daughter & SIL will join me for dinner tonight.
Finally, I get to be on the receiving end of condescending superficial attention!!!
Celebrate me, dammit!!!
Reagan declared this holiday in 1988, so this is the 34th National Seniors Day. Assuming 65 to be the threshold age, you could have been as young as 31 in 1988 and finally qualify to be in this year's group that's being celebrated (by someone, somewhere.)
Let see. what did we do and what will we do?
Drove to Dodge Dealership/Service and got the oil-oil filter changed in our Durango. They told us we need new rear brakes and will be getting them..........but not at the cost the Dodge Service wants! Will have it done with a shop close to us. We are driving darn near 40 miles to get the oil changed, but this is the last oil change on the program we bought from them. Will now get oil changes at a local shop.
Bought our new Apple iPhone 12's today. Talking about "speedy" and with 14 software.
This evening, going out to dinner at local buffet. I absolutely love their mashed potatoes!
Same as any other day.
Seems to me that seniors have been around longer than gays have been out of the closet and they get a parade! The only parade we get is when we die and that’s called a funeral procession…..
Old Guy #1: "You gonna march in the Senior's Day Parade today?"
Old Guy #2: "I don't know. When is it?"
Old Guy #1: "From 1:00PM til 4:00PM"
Old Guy #2: "Three hours!?!?!? Where the heck are we gonna march?"
Old Guy #1: "From 4th Street to 5th Street."
Probably spend most of the day rubbing in Ben-Gay
