There are confirmed reports that Nasrallah, the leader of Hezbollah, has been killed in Lebanon by Israeli air strikes. The IDF has weakened Hezbollah leadership but created a martyr, which is why this is not usually done in warfare. Even in WWII Hitler, Mussolini, and Hirohito were not targeted, and the assassination of Yamamoto was considered an anomaly. This will set Hezbollah back temporarily, but there are many others to step into the role, although not perhaps with the charisma of Nasrallah, and millions of dedicated fighters have been created that would not have been previously.
