It has been 2 years since we visited or had visitors here. We are isolating ourselves and seldom go out except for animal feed.

So we invited them down to stay in one of our very comfy tents. They are all in their early 50s, 50, 51, and 53 and very healthy.

They refuse to stay in our tent. We have camp beds that are off the ground on frames.
Not like these kids aren't used to camping out. We use to camp out all the time.

Key words could very well be "use to".

We'd love to have some home guests, but with our area still experiencing Covid 19 and the Variant, we absolutely won't take the chance.

And, besides that, we haven't been able to meet anyone that has even come close to the same interests we do. So..............

    Tell you what.

We'll set up a Zoom meeting, put the camera in our bedroom, you put the laptop in the tent, and we'll all use our imaginations.

Here. Let's share one of these before bedtime, just for old time's sake:

Another thing, Marie, I wouldn't call them "highfaluting kids". They have their choice of visiting and you have your choice of how they can visit. If they don't match, they don't come.

There are plenty of adult kids that will no longer want to do what they done when they were young. Our idea of "camping" in our early 70's is, staying at a Hilton or the Marriott.

The upside to having older people sleep in tents in your yard is you won't need a rooster...you'll be awakened to the sound of grunts as they try to climb off of the cots.

LOL Hilton Inn. Well deperate times call for desperate measures. There isn't a Hilton within 100's of miles from here. And the local hotels I wouldn't let my dog stay in it.I don't see any differencein a table in our tent and one 1000s of people have sat at in the hotels.
We brought our cloeman bed in abag to motel hubbys brother stayed in in Stenhatchee and he gor all mad about it it. I'm not sleeping in a bed no telling who has sletp in. I cleaned rooms at the Hilton in Myrtle Beach .You wouldn't beleive how they look sometimes.People throw up in the ice buckets, do all kinds of things on the pillows and sheets.

My son has survived it though. He has stayed in them all over the world. One in Dubai with gold wallpaper and one in Senica off west coast of Africa.in the jungle with cardbaord doors and walls.A convey took him to the place and dripped him off which didn't make any sense to us.If its so dangerous going why is it not even more dangerous to stay? I'm so glad he doesn't go to those places anymore. He said the best and cleanest nation he was in was Norway, said it was beautiful country.
