My son in Idaho, who works in IT, posted this on our family imessaging account. He shared a link that explains that hospitals all across the country are being stopped from using their computers because of a ransom ware program.
Although my son does not work at a hospital or other medical facility, he apparently does work at one of the places that have been affected by this ransomeware virus.

Yesterday, I was reading that many of the 911 channels were not operating across the country also, and the police were encouraging people to use the local number in cases of emergency.
Someone said that there were issues with cable networks, and Bobby heard that Microsoft Office was down.
How much of this is inter-related is hard to guess, but it is definitely not a good thing.
