Why stop there? This is the land of rainbow stew and free bubble-up.

American taxpayers are expected to take care of the whole world!

Well, in New York they apparently sent high school students home so that the illegals could take over the high school building. What a great idea, said no one ever.

Who benefits from all this? "We the people" is a myth. The rich and powerful want cheap labor and buy politicians to get it done, and "we the people" get the short end. Someday, and I hope soon, January 6th will seem like a boy scout jamboree.

In Boston, they are also asking people to take the illegals into their homes. Yet, we still have the government allowing thousands moire each day to come across the southern border.
I was reading the other day about someplace that closed down some apartments and boarded them up,, literally forcing people out of their homes. The reporter said they didn’t not know why this was happening, but people thought it might be to make room for illegals to be placed in those apartments.
I am glad that we are a conservative state and do not have any so-called sanctuary cities; those poor people are being overrun with illegals, and I bet that their crime rate has also exploded.

Biden might be telling them they get free rent for two years, but it will end by next January if we get President Trump back in office, or maybe even Ramaswamy (I am liking him for as we go along and I hear what he is saying).

Apparently the politicians benefit. In a sane world they would be removed from office immediately but in today's world they get re-elected.

What's new to me is the term "migrant" used, when I would have called people from the Congo, "Immigrants."

When I hear "migrants," I think of people whose work means moving from place to place like the migrant farm workers who travel from farm to farm as the crops ripen. They have always had housing (of some poor sort) provided.

Illegals, immigrants, migrants? I am confused.

In my town we have a huge meat packing business. Almost all of the workers are Hispanic. I don't know how many are legal immigrants and how many are on some sort of temporary work permit. They live in an apartment complex next to the industry, I don't know if their employer helps with the rent or not. The whole thing reminds me of the coal mining industry where people couldn't quit because they "owe their soul to the company store." I admire them for being willing to do such disgusting work to support their families.

I believe many (if not most) of the illegals get here and find a squalid and harsh existence. I imagine a lot of them regret their decision to come here and live in the shadows. No matter how much complaining I do about illegals being put up in hotels and given cell phones, I know that is far from the norm.

Given cell phones?! That kills me! My husband volunteers at a food pantry/ free store and he tells me most of the homeless and starving come in chatting on their cell phones. We're amazed, because we don't have one and never felt the need.

I would imagine giving someone a free phone would be by far the easiest and cheapest way to keep track of someone. But it's difficult to get outraged about it, if you think about it that way.

We shouldn't have to keep track of them at all. They are in the country illegally. I'd rather use that cell phone money to feed a hungry American child.

Who is trying to keep track of them and why?

This is exactly what I have been reading, too, and I think that it is a great way to do it. Once the government does finally start removing some of the illegals, they will be able to find at least most of them by tracking their free cell phone.
President Trump has said that he would start removing the illegals right away, as well as closing the borders, once he is back in office next year; so this should facilitate that removal.
