I used to .dislike John Bolton for his war-mongering. Now I dislike him for other reasons also. He justifies his long stay in the administration in spite of disagreement with Trump by claiming that it was all a learning process. His critical analysis of Trump goes only so far before he.actually defends Trump in several ways. He soft pedals the killing of Adnan Khahoggi by the Saudi government but claiming that if we didn't do that, then the Russians would be the ones selling weapons to the Saudis instead of us.
John Bolton is Trump's fault. He should have known better than to appoint him to anything. He is not a very good judge of people, apparently, because Bolton wasn't his only glaring mistake. More likely, he is advised by people who don't have his best interests at heart.
