I have been to all of them except Minnesota,Montana, North Dakota. I can still remember the names of all the state capitals, can you?
I'm lucky if I remember the names of the states, much less the capitals. Georgia, Louisiana, Nevada, California, Oklahoma, Illinois......and my state of Florida.
NONE...I've never visited America... My o/h has been to Maine as a child where his grandmother lived..but that's it...
I couldn't name all of the state capitals either. Pennyslvania, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Washington, D.C., Virginia, Georgia, and Arkansas
I think I've been in every state but Kentucky, Alaska, Hawaii, and South Dakota. Several of them I just drove through, however. I have lived in Michigan, Iowa, California, Texas, North Carolina, and Maine. I have timeshares in South Carolina and Virginia, where I have done week-long stays. I have stayed in a timeshare (through RCI) in New Hampshire. I have spent a few days, each, in Oregon and Washington, and I have camped for well over a day in Idaho, Montana, and North Dakota. I've visited my brother in Minnesota a few times. I spent a week at the Bruderhof in New York, and attended one-week EMS conferences in Louisiana and Kansas, and a RAD conference in Pennsylvania, plus I have visited our former pastor in a couple of places he has been in Pennsylvania. I have had a couple of week stays in Boston, Massachusetts, one of them for an SEO conference. I have visited my in-laws in New Mexico, staying for a few days. I was in jail in Nebraska for a week. Does that count? These are the ones that come to mind but, since we have done a lot of traveling by car, and we tend to stop for the night by 4 pm or so, there are several other states that I have been in for more than a day, including some while I was hitchhiking around the country after graduating from high school.
48 states, but Hawaii was not yet a state when I went there. Never went to the Dakotas. 6 provinces in Canada and 8 states in Mexico.
Visited for more than a day? .. Only these that I can remember off hand. California, Nevada, Texas, Wyoming, Colorado, Montana, New York, Maryland, Alabama, South Carolina, Alaska, West Virginia, Florida, Illinois. Not counting places I've lived (NC, GA, OH).
I probably had to learn and memorize them as well, but the chances of me remembering them till age 63 was never going to happen.
I did forget to say in my last post that my daughter has visited the USA on several occasions. She's been to New York City, to California ( 2 different parts)....and to Yellowstone park... Also as part of her previous job she spent a lot of time travelling to and from Ontario Canada..( I know it's not the USA) ..at least once a month
The only states I have not visited are North and South Dakota. I have visited 8 states in Mexico and 6 provinces in Canada.
