I just paid $4.09/gallon at Costco for 93 octane. Costco has been up to a full dollar/gallon cheaper than the nearest Exxon to us. I can’t imagine what some folks are doing. I read the price of food went up 4.9% in July alone. This better start slowing down soon.

CA tax monsters gas is highest in country. I don't drive anymore, but I hear for the basic gas, over $5 a gallon, what costco is I don't know, but not everyone belongs to costco.

The DEMS continuing work to destroy all they can.

The cheapest I an find here is BJ's at $4.17 p/g, and that's for the lower octane.

My Regular is still under $3.90/gallon, while 93 Octane is over $4.00/gallon.

Refineries are rolling out E15 gas now. There are stations that only offer that blend. "Older" cars (dunno a cutoff year) specifically state to no use anything stronger than E10. O soon you will not be able to buy a non-EV, and you will no longer have safe gas to use in your order car.

    Yay, progress[ives]

I’m sorry for people I care about but I am beginning to think we deserve everything we’re gonna get. What’s that saying? There are no victims, only volunteers.

I'm not sure i agree. Exactly how were we to stop it? This expansion of government, creation of legislating by administrators, destruction of the family, expansion of the Federal government, infiltration of our primary education system seem to be beyond our control. Normal people are living our lives and doing our jobs, while our destruction is the full-time job of others as funded by outsiders.

Then you look at our election system and lifetime politicians like McConnell and Biden, et al. We rage at the voters, but were all those elections over all those decades really honest?

You and I can rail at our Congress Critters, but so what? Our founders said that the tree of liberty needs to be watered from time-to-time, but what would the effect of that be? Any such action would be welcomed as reason to clamp down hard, and even if it were successful, how legitimate would the resulting system be? The media would make sure the masses were against it.

It seems that we are experiencing the same implosion that all cultures have throughout history. The fact that we've moved this far beyond the second century mark is a testament to the resilience (but not immortality) of our system.

The tree of liberty definitely needs to be watered but we can all be absolutely assured that anyone who tries would be charged and tried for treason, sedition, espionage, you name it. It’s a far reach from the comfort of our couches to throw off the yoke of oppression that our founding documents say is our duty. People had hard lives then. I think it made hard choices easier.

Ultimately, we elected these scumbags, maybe. Regardless, they are in power and we go along. We deserve what’s coming. I don’t like it but I believe that’s where we’re at.

Hundreds of people were jailed for simply protesting a bad election, and even that small step was termed an insurrection. Far from throwing off the oppressors, I think that a much larger percentage of the population will be afraid even to voice their opinion about another corrupt election. Gas prices is only a small illustration of the problem.

I paid $4.09/gal for 93 octane at COSTCO two days ago. Costco has been up to a dollar cheaper than other stations near us.
