For the uninformed, D A stands for Ducks Ass and was a popular hair style for many of us California teenagers in the 50's.
My hair has always been curly. I had a natural 'fro through high school...it just grows that way. I'm 67 years old and it's still thick. More to your question: I've never sported a DA
Don't many of us wish that! Wife and I are in our early 70's; her/73 and me going on 72. We try to be as active as we can, but there are times that simply doesn't/can't happen. We will look at the pictures on our walls from 15 to 21 years ago and see that we gained some weight. That is, "some", not a lot. And, we do know that we can't be as active, or look as good, as we did those 15 to 21 years ago. But, have to accept it.
.It’s a life time full of wishes and wants. No one is really satisfied to be the age they are. When we were children we couldn’t wait to be a big kid. When we were big kids we couldn’t wait to graduate high school and be independent. Once independent we wished for the time when we were old enough to vote, drink booze and hook up with the person of our dreams. Once we were old enough to do the above, most found that drinking, voting and finding that right person to hook up with wasn’t all it’s cracked up to be. After that phase many got jealous of those people who got a seniors discount at the age of 50 and then once 50, wished for retirement. Now that we’re retired most of us wish we were kids wanting to be big kids again or at least a younger version of themselves.
I recently turned 67 in a family where dad died at 55, older brother died at 53 and younger brother died at 60. So considering my options...
Well, why waste a perfect good wish on a measly 12 years? I'd go back to my 20's and enjoy my babies again.
