I miss old IKE. I mean, really miss him, a lot, and think of his presence here nearly every day. Is it morbid to feel like this? It was almost as though I actually KNEW the guy in real life. Maybe, I'm next................ Frank
You don't mean President Dwight D "Ike" Eisenhower, do you? Though I liked him, too, from what I can remember of him....
@Augusta Heathbourne - no, not that Ike - but a dear member here @Frank Sanoica We all miss him Frank but his memory keeps us with a smile on our face Come on Frank, you're going through a melancholy time, I can tell from previous posts You are as dear to us and we want to see you optimistic and as cheery as we know you can be x
I miss him too. Posting on the "The Good Morning Thread" is just not the same without him sharing a story and starting our mornings off with a smile. Ike helped make this Forum "home" for most of us and his presence is very much missed here @Frank Sanoica We actually did "know" Ike through what he shared with us and he shared a lot. Maybe we never got to know him in person, but we definitely got to know the person inside of him because he opened his heart to us.
@Patsy Faye ."..... we want to see you optimistic and as cheery as we know you can be ...... I understand all that you say, appreciate the words of kindness, and promise to try to do better.... Frank
Frank - believe me, I know its not easy, but the alternative is worse, being 'down' will only speed up health problems. I went through a very stressful time recently and 'every' time I get stressed, my health suffers moreso, with added conditions to contend with Enjoy your surroundings, enjoy your time here with us too - its a big help to me to be here with you all @Frank Sanoica
I wish @Frank Sanocia that you felt free enough to share what is bothering you so much lately. We all are here for you Frank. Friends share the good times and the not so good times with their friends and understand that we all have times of joy and times of sorrow. I hope you will feel free to share your sadness with us too Frank.
If you gaze long enough into the abyss, the abyss will gaze into you. Nietchze. Meaning? When we dwell on the negative for any great amount of time, the thing we dwell upon consumes us and we become not only subject to it, but part of it.
