Sometime justice does work but at a toll. I very voiceterous reporter was taken keep in jail with a lot of fault accusations by police. For some 40+ days and then all charges dropped. Most people after being jailed for over a month on trump up charges would change your life. http://www.oregonlive.com/oregon-standoff/2016/09/feds_dismiss_federal_conspirac.html
I hate injustice - makes me very angry and I'm usually not Something within me stirs - I can't stand it !! (Thought I'd mention that )
I don't know the whole story on this one. Just because charges are dropped doesn't always mean the person is innocent just that the prosecution feels they don't have enough good evidence to convict. I see he still faces charges elsewhere.
I am not a real follower of this guy but he does stir up things but they charge him with a weapons charge. All he had was a pen and paper. They probably read somewhere that a person said a pen is mightier than a sword so they were freighted.
I don't know, Martin. Don't know a thing about this story. I seldom follow these type of stories unless it becomes very big or children are involved. I do get upset at the cults that abuse their children and women but that may be a different story than this one. All I have to hear is "standoff" and I don't follow it. I'm sure that's not the view of most on here but it is mine. We all see things differently. I always feel that if they just talked and compromised a solution would be found but they always have to stand their ground even if they lose which makes no sense to me. There are better ways of sticking to your principles than with guns and killing. Looks like another rant from me, lol. Sorry, Martin. Maybe I need to find another forum so this one doesn't get all my rants.
Speaking of injustice, I firmly believe that the justice in this world is not fair. There is no country that has a perfect justice system such that not all those in jail are guilty. What's making it worse is the slow grind of justice that it takes years to decide on a case. There is this guy named Hubert Webb who was implicated in a rape with killing crime. The case was a celebrated one courtesy of the media. Webb was arrested together with his cohorts (who swear they don't know each other, so they are just fall guys). But there is a law and justice has to be served. Webb's alibi was that he was in the US at that time the crime was committed. He presented the signed testimony of his former employer in the US. But that was ignored by the court in favor of a lone witness named Jessica. Guess what? After 14 years of languishing in jail, Hubert Webb was acquitted and became a free man. It might be interesting to note that Hubert is the son of Freddie Webb, a senator during the time of trial.
After finding Peter Santilli was found not guilty they would not release him but dragged him for more charges on the same incident in another jurisdiction to take him to court again. This is a sick justice system they just don’t like this guy because he gets in their face and ask questions
