The coronation of the Prince of Wales is set for spring of next year. The oddity that is the British monarchy system has been around for hundreds of years. The kings and queens of England wield much more power and wealth than is the common belief. Most of the world regards the office as a unimportant relic of the past. In actuality, Charles is recognized by all the important people, at least throughout the remnants of the British Commonwealth, as still holding most of the the office's former power. The coronation and attendant ceremonies are a ritual union of church and state and proclaim the monarch as God's chosen. The Latin for coronavirus translates to 'poison from the Crown'. As the real rulers of the world become more depraved, many relate the situation to biblical prophesy and believe that we are in the final days. All this inclines me to be a bit disrespectful. All hail King Charles The Turd.
if you get a chance...watch the video from the commonwealth games this past summer...with then..prince charles presiding... eye opener on worshipping baal
An interesting thing happened during the procession. Some strange figure walks past the door as the royal guards are marching in. The mysterious figure is clothed in black and looks for all the world like the Grim Reaper, and has people everywhere talking about who/what it is. Here is a screenshot that i took of the video, and this is apparently not cgi, but is real. The thought is that the figure is some sort of a religious person who is somehow involved in the ceremony. There is more information online about this.
Well, that was certainly a magnificent occasion. I was glued to the telly for the whole time. I doubt I'll see anything like that again. When it comes William's time, there may be no monarchy. Or he might not want something of this magnitude. Or I'll be dead, most likely. My 32nd great-grandfather was crowned there.....I didn't get invited to that one, either.
I didn't want to get up at 3 a.m. so I didn't watch it live. I've been watching Youtube videos which are nice because I can fast-forward through the boring stuff. And there's a lot of boring stuff. I thought Kate looked stunning, as usual. It did disappoint me to see William reading his "pledge," which was only a few sentences. Having his eyes cut to the side instead of looking at Charles was pathetic. 43 second video...
I was surprised to see so many "on the balcony." I thought I understood that it would be limited to immediate family "working" royals. Yet the horse-faced Camilla's sister and others are in the mix.
Now, the latest news is that the King has some kind of cancer (not the prostate cancer they were checking for recently) and is going to be receiving treatment for it. It was recently going around that he would step down and let Prince William take over, but denied by news reports. However, now it seems possible that this could indeed happen. Apparently, even Prince Harry is going to go back to England to be with his father, according to the reports.
In my medical opinion, while they were checking for prostate cancer, they found cancer on his bladder. I wish him a swift and complete recovery. I think the British public would be pleased to have Prince William handle his public royal duties while he is being treated. God Save the King!
Who knows? Cancer is often found when a person has scans for all kinds of things. If he had a PET scan then all the bones and organs in the scanned area will show "heat spots" of cancer cells if they are there. And I'm so tired of all the speculation around Kate's illness. If people want privacy, give it to them.
